pumpkin bread for everyone and do i have to choose between our 4 legged children?

first off Nie Nie's post this morning "A letter to Mr. Nielson" - totally cute, with a side serving of tarantulas and sexy! roar! I need to get in shape so that I might also make pumpkin bread and deliver it to my Love at the door in my birthday suit.

second, last night our big dog (50lbs) Mattie, did not like that the little dog (5lbs) Bruiser was getting attention from daddy. How did she handle this? Thanks for asking, by kicking Bruiser's arse! AGAIN! She has already bit him in the head (within Bruiser's first month with us) and essentially killed one of his eyes, that eye is shrinking and blind. gross I know. She has attacked him on other occasions, some harmless, once has involved bringing back to life (another story for another day- I'll just say CPR is tricky on a 5 pound dog).

mattie (shoe murderer, sibling abuser and domestic disturbance)

so anyway, she attacked last night. Well one small puncture wound in the chest, one cut (to the bone) on his shoulder, and now he can only walk on 3 legs later we are headed to the vet this morning (i wonder if he will like that i super glued the major laceration closed? how very surgical of me) .

son of a gun, what am i to do? You aren't supposed to like one over another, but right now I'm at a loss. I know Mattie is just trying to make sure he knows he's behind her in the food chain, but come on- he can't handle the shock and I can't handle the drama and vet bills.

Bruiser ( not as innocent as he looks, carpet pee'er, one eye'd domestic disturbance)

i really think if she "wanted" to kill him it would be done, i just think she is putting him in check. but it's not fair to him. what to do, what to do?????

big shout out to Dr. Hunt at Homestead Animal Clinic - you don't know it yet, but we are on our way to see you!!!

i'm out - woof

update: 5:00 pm thanks to Dr. Hunt for his kind care for the little booger. I don't know how he did it, but he somehow got my superglued laceration clean and stiched up.
$127, antibiotics, and pain meds. what a day
.

What the heck are you talking about . . . chicken ring? Anyhow, Jen . . . how was the Bazi today? How did Dave like it? It is suppose to have an even greater affect when you are taking Prosac in conjunction with it . . . not really, sorry. I am sorry to hear about your doggies, I am still trying to get past the loss of our dogs that I had growing up. Meg will tell you . . . we were tight! (I got picture's taken with my dog's and everything). So, I truly understand your pain.

chicken ring is nasty mon, don't even ask. Bazi is way better!

I liked it, Dave liked it but we haven't really noticed much on one dose, so we will crank it up tomorrow.

as for the dogs.... megan may have a point. no just kidding (pretty much)

If you don't get rid of the big dog it will kill the small dog. It's also getting more agressive it seems and is that what you want? An agressive dog that might hurt a child one day?

You are not doing that dog any favors, my GOD, what is wrong with you that you don't understand that your dog is aggressive and dangerous??? I hope the vet told you the same, SHEESH!

But you DON'T need to put the dog down! Just find it a home with no other dogs, cats small children.

thank you for your concern, we are working on that. It was never an option to put either of them down.
